ConsentFEST 2012:
The South House Sexual and Gender Resource Centre (formerly the Dalhousie
Women’s Centre) and the Saint Mary’s Women's Centre have joined forces to present
the second annual ConsentFEST conference.ConsentFEST is a 1.5 day conference
aimed at opening up discussion on everything to do with consent!

ConsentFEST strives to create spaces where everyone can gain a broader
understanding of how consent narratives, sex-positivity, and challenging rape culture
can come together to create a world based in consent. Our intention for this event is
to invite conversation, critical & creative thinking and to foster a new common
language surrounding consent.

The conference will be held on Friday November 23rd on the Saint Mary’s
campus and Saturday November 24th on the Dalhousie campus. ConsentFEST will
explore the theme of ‘Consent Culture’ broadly through academic and theory based
discussions, hands-on workshops, comedy, music and art. The South House and our
